Strong Standards for Every Ride

How we share the ride
At Raftar, respect, professionalism, and safety are at the heart of every trip. We work hard to ensure both riders and drivers feel secure and respected during every journey. Any form of misconduct or violation of our community standards can lead to removal from the platform. You are always free to cancel a ride if something doesn’t feel right. [See our Community Guidelines]

Thorough Driver Screening
Every driver is carefully vetted before joining Raftar. We only approve official, pre-registered taxi drivers who already operate legally on Afghan roads. All applicants must submit a valid driving license, national ID, and pass a strict background check before they can start accepting rides.

Driver Safety Training
We work closely with drivers to help them understand and follow safety best practices. This includes how to interact respectfully with passengers and how to handle different situations professionally while using the Raftar platform.

Always-On Safety Features

Smart Ride Monitoring
We monitor each ride for unusual patterns like long stops or off-route movement. If anything seems suspicious, our team may contact you to check if you’re okay. You can also request a safety check at any time.

Share Your Ride
Easily share your trip details and live location with friends or family directly from the app. You can also add trusted contacts to your safety settings for quicker access in case of need.

Know Your Driver
Once matched, you’ll see your driver’s name, photo, taxi type, and rating — so you know exactly who’s picking you up. Drivers also see your profile info to ensure smooth identification at pickup.

Your Privacy Is Safe
We do not share your phone number or personal details with the driver, other riders, or any third parties.

Ratings That Matter
Your feedback helps us keep the community safe and accountable. Drivers with consistently low ratings may receive fewer ride requests. Honest ratings help improve everyone’s experience — and make Raftar better for all.

Help from real humans

24/7 Human Support
Our helpline team actively monitors for any unusual ride activity and is available around the clock. Whether it’s a late-night trip or a short city ride, we’re always watching over your journey.

Quick Help When It Matters
From helping you report an issue to guiding you through next steps, our team responds quickly and discreetly. We’re here to support both riders and drivers — no matter the situation.

We’re on Your Side
Every report is taken seriously. Whether it’s a concern about a driver, a route, or a rider, our team is trained to handle the issue with care and professionalism — and to act when needed.

Rider Safety Tips

Before you get in, take a moment to make sure everything matches. A few quick checks can go a long way in keeping your ride safe and smooth.

  • Check the car details: Confirm the vehicle’s make, model, and color.

  • Match the license plate: Make sure it matches what you see in the app.

  • Verify the driver: Check the driver’s photo and name shown in your app.

  • Ask who they’re picking up: Let them say your name first — never give it away.

OTP Code Confirmation
Every Raftar ride comes with a unique OTP (One-Time Passcode). Share this code with the driver before your ride begins. If the code doesn’t match, do not board the vehicle.
This extra step ensures that you’re getting into the right car, with the right driver — and keeps both riders and drivers protected from mistaken or unauthorized pickups.
