Raftar Technology Service Company (“Raftar,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our ride-hailing services, mobile applications, website (raftar.app), and related platforms (“Raftar Platform”).


1. Scope of This Policy

This Privacy Policy applies to all users of the Raftar Platform, including drivers, riders, and applicants. By using Raftar, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy and our Terms and Conditions.


2. Information We Collect

We collect and access the following types of personal information to provide our services:

a. Information You Provide

  • Name, phone number, WhatsApp number, and email address

  • Account registration details (such as city, profile photo)

  • Documents from drivers: national ID, driver’s license, vehicle registration, and permit

  • Feedback or messages you send to us via email or WhatsApp

b. Location Information

  • Raftar accesses your precise or approximate location via your device’s GPS and Wi-Fi to match you with nearby drivers or riders.

  • Location data is used only during active ride sessions and is not tracked continuously in the background unless explicitly allowed by the user.

c. Device and Usage Information

  • IP address, browser type, and device model

  • App activity (ride requests, cancellations, ratings)


3. How We Use Your Information

We use your personal information to:

  • Match riders with drivers based on location

  • Verify driver identity and validate documents

  • Facilitate ride communications via WhatsApp (calls/messages between rider and driver)

  • Send OTPs via WhatsApp for login verification

  • Send optional promotional campaigns if the user has opted in

  • Respond to customer inquiries and support requests

  • Raftar uses WhatsApp Business to communicate with users. WhatsApp may also collect limited metadata as per their own privacy policy. We encourage users to review WhatsApp’s terms and privacy practices.

4. Communication and Messaging

  • Riders and drivers may communicate via WhatsApp for ride-related coordination.

  • Users must not contact each other after the ride is completed or canceled through WhatsApp or any other means outside the app.

  • OTPs and important ride information may be sent via WhatsApp.

  • You may opt in to receive promotional messages.

  • To opt out, reply “STOP” on WhatsApp or email us at support@raftar.app.


5. How You Can Opt-Out or Delete Your Data

Users may choose to leave our platform or request data deletion at any time:

  • Via WhatsApp: Send “STOP” to our WhatsApp number to unsubscribe from messages.

  • Via Email: Write to support@raftar.app with your request.

  • Via App Deletion: If you uninstall the Raftar app, your account and associated data will be automatically deleted within 7 days.

We retain some data for legal or administrative purposes (e.g., fraud prevention, tax compliance), but we ensure it is not used for marketing or profiling after your account is deleted.


6. Data Sharing and Third Parties

We do not sell or rent your personal information. However, we may share your data with:

  • Drivers or riders you are matched with (name, profile picture, contact info for communication)

  • Government authorities upon legal request

  • Service providers for identity verification or SMS/WhatsApp delivery

  • Internal affiliates for operations and customer support


7. Data Security

We take reasonable steps to secure your data using technical and organizational measures. However, no system is 100% secure. We recommend keeping your app updated and reporting any suspicious activity to us.


8. Children’s Privacy

The Raftar Platform is not intended for users under the age of 18. If we learn that a child under 18 has registered, we will promptly delete the account and associated data.


9. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updates will be posted at raftar.app/privacy-policy. Continued use of the Raftar Platform after updates means you accept the revised policy.
